Clearspan Marquee Wedding

Clearspan marquee with hanging foliage

Our final wedding of the year was held in our clients’ beautiful garden in Wiltshire in late September. They had a clear vision of making the dining room a natural extension of the garden rather than a separate entity and therefore a transparent clearspan marquee was the perfect choice. The structure was built around smaller trees and shrubs which became part of the dressing of the marquee and worked perfectly to soften the open space. Taller trees outside the marquee offered dappled shade during the day and were uplit during the evening, creating an intimate and romantic atmosphere.

Rustic wooden dining tables were dressed with an assortment of glass vases holding white and green flowers, interspersed with candles. The flowers were designed and arranged by the Bride’s grandmother, making this wedding at home a truly family affair. Wreaths of hops were hung from the roof panels to break up the end of summer sunshine and created a stunning canopy above guests’ heads.

An antique wooden cart was used as a station for the Cheese Tower, surrounded by wooden trugs of crackers and bowls of dried fruit and nuts which created a striking addition to the dining room. At dinner, guests enjoyed beautifully prepared fillet of beef with dauphinoise potatoes while they sipped on Berry Bros Good Ordinary Claret.
